The restaurant offers a unique fusion of traditional and modern takes on Japanese favorites, making each dish stand out. Whether you're in the mood for something light or hearty, the options are diverse enough to satisfy different preferences. On a recent visit, I had the opportunity to try their signature ramen, which had a rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The balance of flavors in the ramen was just right, not too salty, and with a perfect umami punch.

For those who enjoy a bit of variety, the menu at Tenkin is designed to provide something for everyone. From sushi and sashimi to rice dishes and grilled meats, there’s a lot to explore. One of the more interesting features of the menu is the seasonal specials. These change frequently, highlighting ingredients that are fresh and available in the local market. The rotating specials make each visit feel fresh, and you never know what new dish you might discover next.

The atmosphere inside Tenkin also contributes to its charm. The interior is cozy, with a minimalist design that allows the food to take center stage. Whether it’s the chef's special ramen or the seasonal vegetables, the team’s passion for what they do is apparent in every bite.

In terms of quality, Tenkin consistently delivers. Ingredients are sourced with care, and it’s clear that the kitchen prioritizes freshness. Whether you’re enjoying their sashimi or one of their hot dishes, everything is prepared with attention to detail. • This is my favorite restaurant in Japan. It is not a place to linger and you will eat their set menu. It is THE best tempura. I had lunch here in August and we came back this week for dinner. Love this food!

  • Food was very tasty. Had to wait a few minutes during lunch but it was worth it. The chair I was on though was a bit rickety and I felt like it might collapse under my weight, but otherwise I recommend eating here As of this review, they are closed on Wednesdays and one Thursday a month, call if coming Thrusday to find out if they are open.

  • We came for a tempura course dinner and were totally fascinated with the taste, variety and service! The elderly chef is truly a master and watching him whip up all the tempura was a show all on its own. Hidden gem, it is! Michelin in our hearts!

  • It is one of the famous joints for Tendon.. Do not miss this if you are around this place.. Tendon is soy sauced dipped rice with sea food tempura... You will fall in love with it . Make sure you go in afternoon as it costs only 1000 yen and dinner with same contents costs you double that is 2000 yen.. however you will have to wait in line as normally it is always crowded..
